Executive Chef Christopher James Millar of Stellar at 1-Altitude’s culinary career includes positions at award-winning, iconic restaurants in London, Melbourne and Sydney. In Melbourne, he was appointed Executive Chef at the legendary Windsor Hotel, and two years later as the Executive Chef of the prestigious Pavilion on the Park in Sydney. Both restaurants were awarded one Chef’s Hat by the Age Good Food Guide and Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide respectively.
Moving to Singapore in 2003 Christopher helmed the kitchens of The Fig Leaf and Poppi (Fort Canning) respectively, achieving 10/10 in Tatler’s Singapore’s Best Restaurants Guide. Chris joined the One Rochester Group in 2009 and is currently responsible for the culinary team at Stellar at 1-Altitude. Christopher’s menu takes the diner on a modern gastronomic journey, where each dish focuses on one star ingredient’s flavours and textures that tell its own unique story.
Christopher has achieved numerous accolades, most recently for Wine and Dine Best Restaurants Guide 2014 and 2015 **2 star rating for Best Roof Top Dining, National Critics Award 2014 ‘Best Executive Chef’, Chope awards 2014 ‘Best Chef’ and in 2014 named one of three Krug Ambassade chefs in Singapore.
